Art for Animals Howl-O-Ween Benefit

 

 

An eerily adorable evening of art, auctions, drinks, tricks, treats, and eats. Bring your well-behaved furry friend. Enjoy costume contests in a haunting atmosphere. 21+, full bar and a DJ. Includes entry into the grand raffle. Our second annual benefit will be sure to haunt your fondest memories.

“Bring Your Inner Creature to the Market” event at the People’s Market.

 

We at the People's Market are planning a Halloween themed event on Sunday, October 16th (10am-3pm) at Jordan Park/International Peace Gardens. 

 

At the event, in addition to our regular vendors of fresh produce, prepared food, and many different hand crafted items, we will be joined by local animal rescue groups who will be bringing animals wishing for homes (either adoption or fostering) as well as other animal related vendors.  There will be live music throughout the day.

 

We will also have a safe trick or treating zone with all of our vendor booths participating (from 10am to 3pm, or until supplies run out), a kid's craft (1pm-2:30pm), and a costume contest for children and pets with the judging at 2:30pm.  The trick or treating, kid's craft and costume contest are all free of charge.

Class meets 2 nights. Please plan to attend both sessions. Use skills you already have in different and effective ways to connect with your pets. Class emphasizes
developing awareness and focus, visualization, creating expectations and using positive and negative emotions to set behavioral boundaries. Techniques are based on creating a meaningful partnership of cooperation rather than control. Strategies to change specific behaviors like barking, potty issues and bolting
will be discussed. Bring a picture of your animal to class.

Loss of a pet is the loss of a family member and produces real emotions. We discuss the stages of grief and explore specific techniques to ease the pain of your loss. This workshop is for everyone who has ever loved an animal and been
